About the PositionBrown Medicine is seeking aBoard Certified/Board Eligible General Nephrologist with a strong interest inacademic medicine and clinical research to join our established team ofacademic nephrologists in Providence, Rhode Island. This full-time position ison the Clinician Educator Track at Brown University and offers an outstandingopportunity to combine clinical practice, teaching, mentorship, and scholarlyactivity within a nationally recognized academic environment.
Inpatient responsibilitiesare shared among faculty
- Rhode Island Hospital
- The Miriam Hospital consultservice
- VA Medical Center nephrologyconsult service
- Kent Hospital nephrologycoverage
Outpatient Responsibilities
- Approximately 2–4 outpatientsessions per week.
- Home Hemodialysis
- Peritoneal Dialysis
- Glomerulonephritis
- Other specialized nephrologyservices
- Approximately 1–3 outpatientdialysis coverage shifts.
Call Schedule
- Overnight call coverage isshared among faculty.
- Approximately 8 weekendcalls per year, supporting an excellent balance between clinicalresponsibilities and personal time.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive base salary:$180,000–$260,000, based on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications
- MD or DO degree.
- Completion of an accreditedNephrology Fellowship.
- Board Certified or BoardEligible in Nephrology.
