2-Year Track | 75-100% IR | Physician-Owned, No Private Equity | 12-15 Weeks Vacation as Partner
Munster Radiology Group is seeking a fellowship-trained interventional radiologist interested in long-term partnership within a mature, high-functioning, physician-owned private practice. This is a dedicated IR position with a full service line, established referral relationships, and dedicated advanced practice provider support.
Stability & Structure
- 2-year partnership track (1 year considered for exceptional candidates, minimum 5 years attending experience for 1-year consideration)

Compensation
- Compensation consistently above the 90th percentile nationally

- CME: $3,000/year

Clinical Practice
This is a predominantly interventional position, approximately 75–100% IR with the remainder general diagnostic reading. No mammography requirements.
Our interventional radiologists perform the full range of hospital and outpatient IR, including:
- Interventional oncology: Y90 radioembolization, percutaneous ablation
- Arterial intervention: GAE, GI bleed embolization, trauma
- Men’s and women’s health: UFE, PAE, varicocele/pelvic congestion embolization
- Venous intervention: DVT thrombolysis and thrombectomy, IVC filter placement and retrieval, venous ablation
- Dialysis access creation and maintenance
- Biliary and genitourinary drainage, gastrostomy, port and tunneled catheter placement
- Image-guided biopsy and drainage
- Vertebral augmentation
Our APP team supports outpatient consults, inpatient rounding, and minor procedures so that physician time is spent in the angiography suite. Equipment includes dedicated IR suites with Siemens and Philips fixed angiography, and cone-beam CT.
We practice in a strong referral environment with efficient workflows and collaborative case sharing. The volume reflects the size and stability of our health system and has been sustainable for decades. Optional moonlighting opportunities are available for those who desire additional productivity and income.
Call & Schedule
- IR call is Q4 and IR-only
- Weekday IR coverage runs Monday-Sunday with scheduling flexibility and case trading throughout the year
Lifestyle
- 12-15 weeks of vacation annually as partners; 10 weeks vacation for first-year partnership-track staff
- Practice is based in Northwest Indiana. Most partners live in Chicago or the surrounding suburbs; roughly 45 minutes from downtown Chicago with access to two international airports
- Diagnostic reading associated with the IR role can be performed remotely on non-procedure days
- No mammography requirements
Qualifications
- Board certified or board eligible in Diagnostic Radiology and Interventional Radiology
- Fellowship training in Vascular and Interventional Radiology or an IR/DR residency pathway
- Current residents and fellows are encouraged to apply
- Licensed in Indiana or eligible for licensure
Compensation: The starting salary range for this position is $550,000–$600,000 annually, with eligibility for productivity bonuses. Upon partnership, compensation is evenly distributed among all partners and exceeds the 90th percentile nationally for interventional radiology.
