Bon Secours Internists of Churchland is seeking an experienced Internal Medicine physician to join our well-established and respected team in the Harbour View area of Suffolk, Virginia. We’re a busy, collegial group of 5 physicians and 1 nurse practitioner providing exceptional outpatient care to generations of patients — and we’re growing!

This position replaces a recently retired physician, offering an immediate, full patient panel and the chance to make a meaningful impact on day one.

Practice Highlights

• Advanced technology: EPIC EMR, MyChart telemedicine, DAX Copilot A/I which helps our providers to focus on their patients in real-time and minimizes after-hours patient charting
• Comprehensive on-site support: 3 LPNs, 4 CMAs, 7 PSRs, Practice Administrator, APC Market Lead, and on-site PharmD for diabetes education and medication management
• Convenient access to nearby specialty offices, imaging, radiology, ER, and hospital services

What We’re Looking For

• Board Certified in Internal Medicine (ABIM/ABMS)
• Completion of a U.S.-based Internal Medicine residency
• Prior internal medicine or outpatient experience preferred
• Comfortable managing a patient panel independently
• Committed to high-quality, relationship-based, population health-focused care

Compensation & Benefits

• $35,000 Starting Bonus
• Resident Stipend: $3,000 per month available for 2nd and 3rdYearResidents
• Up to $10,000 Relocation Assistance > 50 miles
• Up to $65,000 Med School Debt Assistance
• Guaranteed Base Compensation of $260,000 for first two years plus productivity and quality incentives if wRVU threshold is met
• Bonus Available: wRVU Productivity, $ per wRVU Quality Goal, System KPI attainment
• Annual CME Allowance: $10,000
• Comprehensive benefits package including multiple medical plan options, dental, vision, and prescription coverage
• 403b retirement savings plus matching on first 4%
• Supplemental Executive Retirement Plan for Physicians - 5% of clinical comp up to $25,000 per year for first 3 years - subsequent years based on productivity attainment

Internists of Churchland has 6 providers caring for our adult patients, 18 years and older, care for acute illnesses (colds, flu, fever, etc.)as well as chronic problems (high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, arthritis, lung, intestinal and kidney disorders ,etc.)and preventive care(physical examinations, cancer screening and vaccinations). We provide care in the office, as a consultant and as a primary physician, and offer guidance when referral to other specialists is necessary. Our location is central to Suffolk, Portsmouth, Chesapeake, Carrollton and only 20 minutes from Newport News and Hampton viaI-664.
