Jefferson Health is seeking an experienced Colorectal Surgeon to join a collegial, well-established Academic practice at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor level. Our team offers the full range of Colorectal surgical services. We are actively engaged in medical student, general surgery resident as well as colorectal fellowship education; and we are active in research and clinical trials.

Opportunity Overview
High volume colorectal surgery and endoscopy practice. Minimally invasive surgery (MIS) focused practice, strict laparoscopic, robotic and TAMIS MIS operative suites with access to 9 Robots, Xi Dual-console robots and Single-site at main campus Close collaboration with Gastroenterology (including advanced-GI) as well as multiple regional Gastroenterologists throughout Jefferson’s Health system Participation in General Surgery resident education Participation in Colorectal Surgery fellowship program Weekly colorectal tumor board/educational conference Regional quaternary referral center in addition to busy established in-system referral base Work in conjunction with other subspecialists (Surgical Oncology, Gynecologic Oncology, Urogynecology and Urology).

Medical Degree Active Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy (M.D. or D.O.) license in the state of Pennsylvania eligibility required Board Certification/Eligibility (American board of Surgery and American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgeons) Active DEA license BLS and ACLS certification Minimum of 3 years clinical practice experience post-fellowship Ability to work collaboratively within a clinical team Demonstrated professional competence and integrity and ethical conduct of practice Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and effective conflict resolution skills Patient focused and committed to providing outstanding and compassionate care and service to all patients Strong computer skills and EMR knowledge
