The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is seeking a highly skilled and team-oriented Vascular Surgeon to join its Department of Surgery in Regina, Saskatchewan, CANADA.
The candidate is responsible for diagnosing and treating vascular conditions through both open and endovascular procedures, including aneurysm repair (open, EVAR, TEVAR), peripheral revascularization (including thrombolysis), carotid surgery, renal access, trauma management, and treatment of varicose veins. Responsibilities also include interpreting vascular imaging, providing comprehensive pre- and post-operative care, participating in on-call duties, maintaining accurate medical records, and ensuring compliance with SHA standards and provincial regulations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate interdisciplinary competence through active participation in multidisciplinary rounds and must show a commitment to patient safety, clinical excellence, and teamwork. An active interest in research and a desire to contribute to the ongoing development of the division’s academic and research activities are also expected.
The successful candidate will be eligible for on-call payments consistent with the Specialist Emergency Coverage Program. Call coverage is a mandatory aspect of this position.
